Jagua is a tropical fruit native to the lush Amazon rainforest, and has been used for thousands of years for both temporary tattoos and medicinal purposes!
Jagua Tattoo longevity varies, lasting between 7-14 days and coloring from navy to black, depending on location on body, your unique skin chemistry, and aftercare. Tattoos last longer on areas that don’t rub against clothing or other body parts as frequently. Finger tattoos typically last for a shorter duration. Use within 3 months of purchase.
Patch Test: recommended for those allergic to kiwi, berries, citrus, or tropical fruits to conduct a spot test before full application (provided upon request with purchase).
Not recommended for children under 3 years old.
How to Apply Jagua Tattoos:
- Clean skin with soap and water, and fully dry the area.
- Cut out the desired tattoo design (if needed), ensuring a close cut to ease application.
- Mix Developer Water by adding the blue developer powder packet with 1 cup of warm water.
- Wet a cloth or paper towel in the mixture, ensuring it’s well saturated but not dripping.
- Peel off the plastic layer covering the silvery-colored side.
- Press the SILVERY-COLORED SIDE down onto the skin.
- Press the damp cloth over the tattoo paper for at least 30 seconds, ensuring the entire tattoo paper is completely dampened. It’s important to ensure the tattoo paper is fully wetted so the ink can transfer well. Gently put pressure on the tattoo paper- the ink should be fully pressed to the skin, with no parts floating or bubbles
- Peel back a corner, checking that the light silvery ink has transferred to the skin. If not, press the paper down again, moisten the paper further, and firmly press the tattoo paper against the skin. Then carefully peel back the tattoo paper again from the corners to check the ink is fully transferred.
- Allow the tattoo to fully dry before coving with any loose clothing. Wait 24-48 hours for the tattoo to fully develop.
- For best results, avoid getting the tattoo wet for at least 3 hours (the longer you wait, the better). Avoid hot water, saunas, exfoliation, and excessive sweating for optimal results, especially within the first 24 hours.
Avoid tattoo transfer: for the first 2 nights, cover the tattoo with loose clothing to prevent tattoo transfer to other body parts.
